Consultants of Invent Baltics assisted professor Mart Loog from University of Tartu Institute of Technology in preparing the SynBioTEC (“Establishing ERA Chair position in Synthetic Biology at University of Tartu Institute of Technology”) proposal to the Horizon 2020 ERA Chair programme.

Within the first six months of the project, an internationally acclaimed scientist will be recruited as the scientific leader the newly established Centre of Synthetic Biology. Thereafter, a team of leading scientists will be established, forming the core of the centre.

Aimed at universities and research organisations in low-performing EU member states, the next ERA Chair call will most likely be opened in 2016.
