Invent Baltics OÜ consultants supported the consortium of 8-members, led by Estonian SME Testonica Lab OÜ, in putting together a successful FP7-ICT project BASTION and negotiating it with the EC

The kick-off meeting of the project "Board and SoC Test Instrumentation for Ageing and No Failure Found“ (BASTION N° 619871) took place in Estonia on January 29-30, 2014. Other partners of the ICT STREP project include Aster Technologies SAS (SME from France) and Infineon Technologies AB (large company from Germany) as industrial partners. From Academia were presented Lund University from Sweden, Politecnico di Torino from Italy, Tallinn University of Technology from Estonia, University of Twente from the Netherlands and Hochschule Hamm-Lippstadt from Germany.

The general objective of the project is to develop a set of methods united by the goal to improve overall dependability and stamina of nanoelectronics-based systems under pressure of ageing and unknown defects. The new approach to achieve the mentioned goal will be based on the promising concept of embedded instrumentation and corresponded emerging standard IEEE P1687 (IJTAG) that helps leveraging the "Si complexity" problem with respect to system test and monitoring by proposing a scalable infrastructure for error processing that fits with heterogeneous SoC integration and IP reuse target.

Invent Baltics role: support on project preparation, negotiations with the Commission, and admistrative managemnet of the project.
