Paumax Oy /AINA Wireless project proposal received over 2 million euro funding from Horizon 2020 SME-Instrument II phase

Invent Baltics consultants helped the Finnish company Paumax Oy /AINA Wireless, dedicated to developing innovative IP-based communication solutions, to prepare a successful project proposal to the European Commission Horizon 2020 research and innovation funding program. The project with total budget over 2 million euros will be funded under the Horizon 2020 „Innovation in SMEs” work programme.

Paumax Oy /AINA Wireless is developing a novel IP-based push-to-talk communication device for public security professionals. The novel device will substantially improve quality and effectiveness of professional communication, ease cross-border critical communication and further interoperability between public security agencies.

The SME Instrument is a part of the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme specifically targeted at innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) in Europe. The instrument aims to fill the gaps in funding for research and innovation at early stages and thereby accelerate the exploitation of novel solutions to address key societal challenges or enabling technologies. Applications are expected in various topics and companies can apply for funding individually.

The SME Instrument Phase 1 funding supports SMEs to cover the funding for initial feasibility assessment and business modelling for the novelty. The next cut-off date for Phase 1 project proposals is May 3, September 7 and November 9, 2016.

Phase 2 funding is targeted to SMEs with particular focus on product development, demonstration activities and market replication. The next cut-off date for Phase 2 project proposals is April 14, June 15 and October 13, 2016.
