SCULT Foundation is receiving a nearly €0,4 million grant from the Erasmus+ Sport Collaborative Partnerships funding instrument

Invent Baltics consultants supported SCULT Foundation in preparing a successful project proposal to the Erasmus+ Sport Collaborative Partnerships funding instrument. The objective of the three-year collaboration project is to implement SCULT International Sport Volunteers Movement in Europe, and thereby increase the physical activity levels as well as social inclusion of Europeans at large.

The backbone of SCULT Sport Volunteers Movement relies on modern tools to facilitate volunteering in sport and a unique methodology for engaging volunteers. The long term vision of SCULT is to double the amount of sport volunteers in Europe by 2030 (reaching approximately 40 million people).

SCULT Foundation is a spin-off from the Sport Year Foundation, an Estonian non-profit that aspires to increase the involvement of volunteers in promoting physical activity and recreational sport. The Erasmus+ project will be implemented with an international consortium, which in addition to SCULT Foundation includes the European Volunteer Centre headquartered in Belgium, University College of North Denmark, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences from Finland, Lithuanian Sports University, and Club Tartu Marathon from Estonia (FIS Worldloppet partner).

Erasmus+ is the European Union program for education, training, youth and sport for 2014-2020. Its budget of €14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, gain experience, and volunteers abroad. The Erasmus+ Sport priorities aim to develop and implement new models for increasing the physical activity of Europeans.
